How it wins

Defend the opening turns, accelerate toward expensive threats, and use land-entry rewards to keep ramp and ordinary land draws useful later.

Early
Develop early creatures and the colored mana your hand needs.
Middle
When possible, cast Tatyova before the turn's land drop, or follow her with Grow from the Ashes. Each land entry supplies a separate draw and life gain while advancing your mana.
Finish

What it needs

Commit when repeated useful cards and enough support make a complete deck in these colors.

Four checks while you draft

  1. 1
    A functional opening

Can I affect the board before the payoff?

A one-mana creature accelerates green spells from the next turn onward. It must survive and wait through summoning sickness, so do not cut needed lands just because one copy is present.

  2. 2
The cards that make it work

Do my actual cards enable this plan?

When possible, cast Tatyova before the turn's land drop, or follow her with Grow from the Ashes. Each land entry supplies a separate draw and life gain while advancing your mana.

  3. 3
    Interaction and a finish

Can I stop their strongest play and finish a stalled game?

Defend the opening turns, accelerate toward expensive threats, and use land-entry rewards to keep ramp and ordinary land draws useful later.

Choose the missing job before another reward that needs it.

What to take next

The key card is present but its support is thin.

Prioritize useful support such as Llanowar Elves or Grow from the Ashes.

When possible, cast Tatyova before the turn's land drop, or follow her with Grow from the Ashes. Each land entry supplies a separate draw and life gain while advancing your mana.

Your deck enables the plan but is losing the early turns.

Take a castable early creature or efficient answer before another expensive payoff.

Do not keep a hand that only ramps and never affects the board. Save a land for Tatyova only when doing so does not delay the mana you need to cast or defend her.

The support is missing

Favor independently useful creatures and interaction if the narrow support does not arrive.

Signals to watch
  • Several useful late cards such as Llanowar Elves and Grow from the Ashes are stronger evidence than one gold card.

Repeated useful cards are clues, not proof that the colors are open.

Don’t
Avoid the setup mistake

Do not keep a hand that only ramps and never affects the board. Save a land for Tatyova only when doing so does not delay the mana you need to cast or defend her.

Playing against this plan

Attack through the early ramp turns and remove Tatyova before the next land enters when possible. Once a landfall trigger is on the stack, removing her does not undo that draw.

Use the interaction

  1. When possible, cast Tatyova before the turn's land drop, or follow her with Grow from the Ashes. Each land entry supplies a separate draw and life gain while advancing your mana.
  2. Do not keep a hand that only ramps and never affects the board. Save a land for Tatyova only when doing so does not delay the mana you need to cast or defend her.

Adapt the plan to your format

One-pickSealed
With one pick at a time, fill the missing early play, answer or support card before adding another narrow payoff. The plan must work without drawing its key card.Compare complete builds from the cards you opened. Keep the castable curve and interaction even if the draft theme is only partly supported.
