Take it when

Consider RW when your curve can keep adding creatures after Mabel.

What to take next

Choose cheap creatures and token makers so new arrivals can receive counters.

Wrong pick

Do not plan to put these counters on an old attacker: each target must have entered this turn.

Mana & splash

1RW works best on curve in RW; splashing her later loses early counter opportunities.

Interactions from the card text, not a ranking.

Campus CrierA cheap follow-up creature provides another entry trigger and a legal counter target.

Fatehold Chronologist // Peer ReviewWhite can pay its hybrid cost; casting Peer Review later creates a Cadet that triggers Mabel.

Pick-Two

Her counter target must have entered this turn. Later creatures and token entries provide new triggers and legal targets.

Sealed vs Draft

Count creatures or token makers you can play after Mabel; old creatures are not automatically legal targets for new counters.

Two-Headed Giant

A teammate’s creature entering does not trigger Mabel. Her counter can target any creature that entered this turn, including a teammate’s.
