Play
An Island-scaled walker whose value depends strongly on mana and the game format.
More
- What it needs
- Islands for +1; existing defense and loyalty support.
- How to use it
- Count your Islands for +1. The −3 can reduce attackers aimed at you or your walkers until your next turn.
- Playing against it
- An opponent may attack a different protected object or remove it; the ultimate requires substantial total loyalty among your Jaces.
- Sealed vs Draft
- Do not evaluate its Island-scaled +1 as if every blue source were an Island.
- Two-Headed Giant
- The −3 does not protect your teammate or their planeswalkers. Opponents can attack your teammate to deal full damage to the shared life total.
Reviewers differ
the community review gives A−; J2SJosh gives 2.5/5 and stresses Islands, limited loyalty and an unrealistic ultimate. Do not classify all Jaces as interchangeable bombs.
