Efficient common damage with a loyalty bonus.
More
- What it needs
- Red mana; a target within three damage or a plan to finish it in combat.
- How to use it
- It is a SORCERY. Deal three to any target, then empower one; plan your main phase accordingly.
- Playing against it
- A target with four toughness survives without extra damage; protection can make the target illegal.
- Pick-Two
- Empower adds loyalty to your Jace token or creates one if absent. It does not grant an extra loyalty activation this turn.
- Sealed vs Draft
- Excellent early utility; do not hold it up as if it were an instant.
- Two-Headed Giant
- You control the Jace created for you. Your teammate does not gain control of it or share its loyalty activations.
